Oxon Inspires, the podcast series sponsored by Mathews Comfort, is proving immensely popular, attracting more listeners with every new show. For those who have yet to tune in, we recommend you give it a go.
The mission of Oxon Inspires is to showcase the stories of leading Oxfordshire business people and inspiring Oxonians with interesting stories to tell, promoting the region as a vibrant and happening place, and discovering what makes it such a thriving socio-economic powerhouse.
It’s always fascinating to hear an individual’s business and life stories, which is why Oxon Inspires is so well received. Each podcast features a local business entrepreneur, explaining the ups and downs they’ve experienced on their journey to success and providing listeners with meaningful takeaways from their wisdom and experience, along with tips and guidance on a whole range of topics.
So far, some amazing local people have taken part, including Shaun Foggett, owner of Crocodiles of the World; Dominic Hare, CEO, Blenheim Palace; and Lindsay Willott, Founder and CEO, Customer Thermometer, to name just a few truly inspiring Oxonians.
The show is hosted by our Director of Financial Planning, James Mousley, who has recently relocated to the region from London and is keen to find out exactly what the region has to offer. Part of the show involves James asking interviewees for their recommendations on things to do, including pubs, restaurants, venues, historic attractions, family days out, scenic locations and more, which are listed on the Oxon Inspires website, and this certainly provides an interesting insight, whether you’ve lived here all your life or are visiting for the day.
If you’d like to know more, you’ll find further details and links to all the podcasts and lists of recommendations on the supporting website (click here) You can also tune in to the podcasts on all the usual platforms, including Apple iTunes, Twitter, LinkedIn, Spotify and Libsyn.
Long term, Oxon Inspires is hoping to stage events promoting all that’s great about Oxfordshire, but for the moment, due to Covid-19, everything is on hold. Hopefully, it won’t be too long before an exciting programme of events is announced, so watch out for details!
Oxon Inspires is always looking out for more guests to appear on the show and share their life story and experiences. So, if you live in Oxfordshire and have an interesting story to tell, or if you know of any Oxford businesses or inspiring Oxonians, please get in touch.
