We recently sat down with Giedre, the latest addition to our team, to find out more about her wealth of experience and how her enthusiasm for communication and strategy led to her passion for lifestyle financial planning.

What is your role at Mathews Comfort?
I am a Trainee Financial Planner.

What attracted you to your role at Mathews Comfort?
I have been interested in the finance industry and personal finance management for many years. Until now it was more like a hobby and passion for me and now I have the opportunity to go deeper into this field.

It’s just a start but I really like it and I know that as I go further, it will be more and more interesting. What I especially like about this role is that it embraces analysis and communication with people.

What are your personal objectives?
I always have high standards and goals for myself, being just ‘good’ is not enough for me. My personal objective is to become a true professional and a great Financial Planner who will give professional advice, helping to make other people’s lives better.

What skills and experience can you bring to your role?
I have a Master’s Degree in Finance and from a career perspective, I would describe myself as a business professional with experience in sales, market research and business strategy development.

I’ve developed good analytical skills, the ability to find solutions in intricate situations, management skills and a strategic and critical mind-set. Working as a team leader made me more flexible, and I have a great ability to communicate with different personalities.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
The atmosphere and team spirit at work. I’m very happy having the opportunity to work with professionals who love their job.

How would you describe yourself as an individual?
I'm optimistic, always looking for the bright side in every situation. I'm hardworking, I have great attention to detail, I'm goal-oriented and I love challenges with personal growth. That said, it’s important for me to have balance in my life and have time for myself and my hobbies.

How would you sum up your role in 3 words?
Exciting - interesting - challenging.
